The Revenge of the Snails

One rainy night an evil eye knocked on the door.
It was the house of the snail.
He wended in and ate the ooze from the snail's plate.
Outside the rain stopped and it started to hail.

The snail was in peril!
He was in jeopardy too!
He was in a predicament,
And he needed to poo!

The evil eye was approaching,
With his loud gait,
He wanted to kill the poor snail,
His heart was full of hate!

The hour was desperate.
The eye emerged from the door,
The snail escaped from a hatch,
As the eye let out a roar.

Snail went to meet the EEO,
The group of deft elephants,
It was a haven of snails,
Elephant even sent reinforcements.

They came up with a hoax,
To retaliate against the eye.
They went to the expanse of the moor.
The pathetic snails tried not to cry.

The Mean Squirrel

The mean squirrel chases the cat off the fence.
The squirrel enters the cat's door to the house.
The squirrel steals the cat's food which he can sense.
He sneaks out like a sneaky creeping mouse.

The mean squirrel took some berries as he left.
A person came outside and screamed at him.
The man said that he was a stealing theft.
The cat looked at him with eyes so grim.

And he snarled which frightened the mean squirrel.
He fled to his house which protected him.
With other creatures he would not quarrel.
And a lesson was learned, to never be so grim.

He settled down quickly without another peep.
He curled up in a ball and went to sleep.

Baking Disaster

One Friday morning, Mrs Bakers was humming and stirring the batter in the large silver bowl. She was making cake for her daughter, Annabel. Today was Annabel's thirteen birthday, and it would be her first year as a teenager, so Mrs. Bakers wanted the cake to be perfect. She promised Annabel that everything would be amazing at the party. A smile crept up Mrs. Bakers's face as she proudly thought of her growing-up daughter while stirring the creamy batter.

Oh no! Mrs. Bakers had forgotten her special ingredient! She rushes out the kitchen to get it. Meanwhile, Emily, Annabel's younger sister, comes in and pours exploding powder into the batter. Emily hears her mother's footsteps as she approaches the kitchen, so she quickly ducks down and hides in a cupboard under the sink.

Just as Mrs. Bakers enters, the batter explodes in her face! She screams and the jar of jelly in her hand falls to the ground and smashes into pieces. Mrs. Bakers knows right away that Emily did it, but Emily is hidden in the cupboard and can escape from her mother when the school bus arrives.

Tom Sawyer Poem

There once was a boy named Huck,
And he had the fortunate luck,
To have Tom as his friend.
They would stay together till the end.

He wanted to search for treasure.
They would do it together.
However, they came upon Injun Joe!
His heart was full of woe!

Tom searched in the cave,
Until he found the treasure of the knave.
He raced back to Huck Finn,
For the treasure they would win!

Spring

Springtime in California is a time for growing plants and animals. With all the wild flowers blooming and bursting into color on the cool green grass, everything smells nice. Spring is a time when plants start growing. All the buds start growing and opening with the warm showers of rain, the whistling spring breeze, and the shining sun. Spring is also a time for animals. Ducks swim in the cool blue ponds, while birds sing and eggs crack in nests. The bees and butterflies buzz from flower to flower, and suck the sweet nectar. Also, sweet cherries and other fruits ripen in the tall trees. Everything in spring starts to come alive.
